Sarah Fortin

Sarah Fortin, Research Director

Sarah has been with the IRPP since September 1997. She has been Research Director, Social Policy, since October 2001 and Associate Editor of the Institute's magazine, Policy Options, since September 2002. She is interested in family policy, work-life balance, the aging of the population, early childhood education and care, and intergovernmental relations. She is the author of "De l'union sociale canadienne à l'union sociale fédérale du Canada" (in Le fédéralisme canadien contemporain, 2006); Mémoire soumis à la Commission des affaires sociales à propos du Projet de loi no 140 (with Carole Vincent, 1999); and "Innis in Quebec: Conjectures and Conjonctures" (with Alain-G. Gagnon) in Harold Innis in the New Century: Reflections and Refractions (1999). She co-edited Forging the Canadian Social Union: SUFA and Beyond (IRPP, 2003), and coordinated the publication of The Canadian Social Union Without Quebec: Eight Critical Analyses (IRPP, 2000). She also co-directed As I Recall Si je me souviens bien: Historical Perspectives (IRPP, 1999).
