Policy Options-Nanos Poll: Water is Canada's Most Precious Natural Resource

In the latest Nanos-Policy Options poll for the special summer issue on water, contributing Writer Nik Nanos finds that Canadians regard fresh water as the resource that is most important for the country’s future — by a surprisingly wide 3-1 margin over oil and gas. Furthermore, “from the point of view of self-identification, water is at the very top of the list.” Canadians don’t mind being seen as “drawers of water,” he writes, for that’s how they see themselves.
