  • Hong Kong Policy Research Institute (Hong Kong)
    As a non-government independent think-tank, the Hong Kong Policy Research Institute (HKPRI) was established in 1995. It operates with the support of the community and aims at serving the whole community. It upholds the following principle in serving the community to promote the development of Hong Kong based on the concept of "One Country, Two Systems" and the premises of Hong Kong's return to China in 1999.

  • Institute for International Policy Studies / Sekai Heiwa Kenkyusho (Japan)
    The Institute for International Policy Studies (IIPS) is a non-profit, independent research institute based in Tokyo that examines security, economic, political, environmental, and other concerns in the world with an emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region.

  • Institute of Developing Economies-Japan External Trade Organization / Ajia Keizai Kenkyusho (Japan)
    The objective of the Institute of Developing Economies (IDE) is to conduct basic and comprehensive studies on economic and related affairs in Asian countries in order to contribute to: (1) the promotion of economic cooperation; (2) the improvement of trade relations between Japan and these areas; and (3) toward the prosperity and welfare of the developing countries. The Institute was founded in 1958 as a nonprofit organization and has been merged with Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) as a single organization in 1998.

  • Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (Singapore)
    The Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) was established as an autonomous organization in 1968. The ISEAS is a regional research center for scholars and specialists concerned with modern Southeast Asia and its wider geostrategic and economic environment. The aim of the Institute is to nurture a community of scholars interested in the region and to engage in research on the multi-faceted dimensions and issues of stability and security, economic development, and political, social and cultural change.

  • Japan Center for Economic Research (Japan)
    Japan Center for Economic Research's (JCER) main activities are: (1) economic research with particular emphasis on economic forecasting; (2) sponsoring economic study courses; (3) holding seminars, lectures and symposia with the participation and/or assistance of leading scholars and economists in academia, business and government; and (4) training young business persons in advanced economics and research.

  • Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training (Japan)
    The Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training (JILPT) is the third sector under the supervision of the Ministry of Labour. It is engaged in the comprehensive research and study of labour problems, collecting and classifying information and data both domestically and internationally. Another important role of the Japan Institute of Labour is to inform labour, management and the general public in order to deepen understanding and knowledge of labour problems.

  • Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (South Korea)
    The Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) is an autonomous economic research institute established by the Korean government in 1976. KIET acts as an economic think tank and its main activities are: (1) analyzing economic trends; (2) advising the Korean government on industrial, trade, and commercial policies; and (3) researching effective strategies to increase national productivity and competitiveness.

  • National Institute for Research Advancement (Japan)
    The National Institute for Research Advancement (NIRA) is a policy research organization established in 1974 on the initiative of leading figures from the industrial, academic and labour communities. NIRA's main objective is to conduct research from an independent standpoint and contribute to the resolution of various complex issues facing contemporary society. Research topics include politics, economics, international issues, social issues, technology, and local government systems.
